Los fanáticos del cine de horror se congregan frente a la pantalla de la sala audiovisual para ver el esperado programa inaugural tras un año de ausencia por la pandemia. La multitud luce ansiosa y curiosamente aliviada por “sobrevivir” al confinamiento. La vida de ellos nunca será igual, todo ha cambiado.

Muy al estilo de una pieza cinematográfica, nuestra vida dió un giro inesperado en 2020, nos separamos y nos brindamos buenas vibras en la distancia con la esperanza de regresar a las salas de cine a vivir nuestra pasión.

ANIMAL Film Fest no fue la excepción, la edición del 2020 fue pospuesta por las mismas razones, ponderando la salud por encima de la cultura y el entretenimiento en espacios cerrados. Ahora, llenos de esperanza, nos reunimos de nuevo a ver cine, por supuesto, con las debidas precauciones.

El tiempo pasó rápido, y ya estamos listos para presenciar los 50 cortometrajes de Horror, Terror, Suspenso y Thriller, que, divididos en cinco increíbles programas, podremos disfrutar en las sedes de esta Segunda Edición: el Centro Cultural Clavijero y el Teatro José Rubén Romero, en el Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de Morelia.

Un ANIMAL se resguardó del peligro por el bien de la manada, ahora ha regresado sediento de emociones, miedos y pesadillas que serán revividos en las 12 proyecciones que tenemos preparadas para ustedes.

Horror film fans congregate in front of the audiovisual room screen to watch the expected opening program after a year of absence due to the pandemic. The crowd looks anxious and curiously relieved to "survive" the lockdown. Their lives will never be the same, everything has changed.

In the style of a film piece, our life took an unexpected turn in 2020, we parted ways and gave each other good vibes in the distance in the hope of returning to the theaters to live our passion.

ANIMAL Film Fest was no exception, the 2020 edition was postponed for the same reasons, prioritizing health over culture and entertainment in closed spaces. Now, full of hope, we meet again to see movies, of course, with due precautions.

Time passed quickly, and we are ready to witness the 50 short films of Horror, Terror, Suspense and Thriller, which, divided into five incredible programs, we will be able to enjoy at the venues of this Second Edition: Centro Cultural Clavijero and José Rubén Romero Theater, in the Historic Center of Morelia City.

An ANIMAL sheltered itself from danger for the good of the herd, now it has returned thirsty for emotions, fears and nightmares that will be relived in the 12 projections that we have prepared for you.

Welcome to ANIMAL Film Fest 2021.

El concepto del cartel para la edición 2021 de ANIMAL Film Fest estuvo a cargo del artista uruapense Juan Carlos Santos Mendoza, quien se desarrolla en el campo profesional como Concept Artist y es parte de múltiples proyectos internacionales.

Está Inspirado en la tradición y el espacio. Cada nicho en la cantera – roca rosada tradicional de la región de Morelia – representa una pieza cinematográfica. Hay un espacio vacío que simboliza la oportunidad de sumar una obra más al festival.

En conjunto dan vida a un animal monstruoso que adquiere muchas formas, como el horror en si. La iluminación con velas y el arco son el altar a la exposición. Remata en la parte baja con un carrete de película para reforzar el concepto.

La integración de diseño gráfico corrió a cargo del equipo de producción de ANIMAL Film Fest.

The poster concept for the 2021 edition of ANIMAL Film Fest was led by Uruapense artist Juan Carlos Santos Mendoza, who develops in the professional field as Concept Artist and is part of multiple international projects.

It's inspired by tradition and space. Each niche in the Cantera - traditional pink rock from the Morelia region - represents a film piece. There is an empty space that symbolizes the opportunity to add one more work to the festival.

Together they give life to a monstrous animal that takes on many forms, like the horror itself. The candle lighting and the arch are the altar to the exhibition. It ends at the bottom with a film reel to reinforce the concept.

The graphic design integration was carried out by the ANIMAL Film Fest Production Team.
